Diary-like posts can make very compelling reading. Personally, that's the kind of writing I most like to read. When I write something I felt was meaningful or funny or worth reading and no one else seemed to think so, I feel discouraged and sink into a mile-deep pit of despair. But I still think it's funny when someone threatens to quit writing.
